ESTHERVILLE - The NIACC baseball team split an ICCAC doubleheader with Iowa Lakes on Friday.
NIACC won the first game 6-3 and dropped the nightcap 11-6.
In the first game, sophomore Kyle Pike hit a three-run pinch hit home run in the seventh inning to break a 3-3 tie and give the Trojans a 6-3 lead.
Freshman right-hander Caden Kratz gained the win for the Trojans. He allowed three runs on eight hits with seven strikeouts and three walks in six innings of work. Michael Sturek pitched a scoreless seventh inning to pick up his fifth save of the season.
Also for the Trojans in the opener, Jake Christianson hit a solo home run.
In the second game. Iowa Lakes pounded out 10 hits to score its 11 runs.
Shane Kelleher hit a 3-run home run in the first inning for NIACC.
