NIACC women place 15th at half marathon

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The NIACC women's cross country team placed 15th at the NJCAA half marathon on Tuesday with 168 points.

Salt Lake CC was the women's half marathon national champion with 18 points and Iowa Western was second with 32 points.

New Mexico JC's Damaris Chewon was the individual champion in a time of 1 hour, 21 minutes, 8 seconds over the 13.1 mile course.

NIACC was led by freshman Juliana Droll, who placed 61st in a time of 1:44.04.

Also for the Trojans, freshman Taja Conley was 74th in a time of 1:49.08 and freshman Cloey Usher was 79th in 1:51.01.
