NIACC women place 2nd at Viking Invitational
PLEASANT HILL - The NIACC women's cross country team placed second at the Grand View Viking Invitational with 56 points on Friday at Southeast Polk High School.
Morningside was the women's team champion with 31 points and William Penn was third with 94 points.
NIACC freshman Emma Davison was second in the five-kilometer race in a time of 20 minutes, 8 seconds. Waldorf University's Marissa Kuik was the individual champion in a time of 19:49.
Other counting scores for the Lady Trojans were Caitlyn Regan (ninth in 21:16), Cecelia Hemsworth (14th in 21:56), Julia Dunlavey (16th in 22:16) and Alana Wickering (22nd in 22:52).
Also for the Lady Trojans, Ally Trager was 30th in 23:49, Laney Wilson was 32nd in 24:24, Miricle Corbo was 34th in 24:30, Aubrea Thompson was 42nd in 26:36 and Ivy Rollene was 47th in 27:57.
NIACC returns to action Sept. 22 at the University of Arkansas Chile Pepper in Fayetteville, Ark.
