NIACC splits pair at RCTC Tournament

ROCHESTER, Minn. - The NIACC volleyball team split a pair of matches at the RCTC Tournament on Saturday.
NIACC topped Minnesota State Community and Technical College 3-1 winning 25-21, 18-25, 25-21, 25-23.
The Trojans also dropped a 3-1 decision to No. 1 (NJCAA Division III) Rock Valley, which won 19-25, 25-12, 25-21, 25-14.
"We were 3-1 overall for the weekend and many positives coming from the work," NIACC coach Chris Brandt said. "We played more consistent and started building more trust in the team and trusting our process."
NIACC's Grace Tobin had 37 kills with 22 digs and three blocks. Samantha Coron had 14 kills, 32 assists, 17 digs and four ace serves.
Also for the Trojans, Kaylee Ollendieck had 27 digs and nine ace serves, Ryley Wetlaufer had 31 assists and eight digs, Megan Vidmar had eight kills, four digs and two blocks and Kalayah Kaschub had six kills and two blocks.
NIACC's Halsie Keltner had nine kills with 23 digs and five ace serves. Kyla Moore had six kills, five blocks and three ace serves.
NIACC (6-9 overall) hosts Southwestern Wednesday in an ICCAC match at 7 p.m. in the NIACC gym.
