NIACC falls to Highland CC, Carl Sandburg College

FORT DODGE – NIACC closed out a weekend tournament at Iowa Central Saturday with a pair of losses to Highland CC and Carl Sandburg College.

Highland CC topped the Lady Trojans 25-10, 25-16, 25-12 and Carl Sandburg College won in three sets 25-22, 25-18, 25-19.

"We didn't play as well as yesterday and unfortunately had a tough time getting much going," NIACC coach Chris Brandt said. "Next week is the end of our regular season so we will come back Monday and continue to put in the work."

Hannah Wagner led NIACC with 17 kills, Sydney Roush had 42 assists, Connor Gauch tallied 22 digs, and Shelby Heston had 12 kills and 10 digs.

NIACC returns to action Wednesday at home against Iowa Lakes in an ICCAC contest. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
