NIACC volleyball team sweeps Ellsworth, 3-0

IOWA FALLS - NIACC picked up a 25-23, 25-20, 25-23 nonconference victory Monday over Ellsworth Community College.

"Tonight we didn't start slow which has been an issue for this team lately," NIACC coach Chris Brandt said. "Our performance started with solid passing and a defense that wouldn't let the ball drop without a fight."

Kaylee Whittington and Karlie Niedert combined for 27 kills to lead the Lady Trojans offensively and Aubury Coleman added seven kills and five blocks.

Hailey Winter recorded 22 assists and Liv Block tallied a team-best 11 digs.

NIACC (13-13) returns to action Wednesday at Southeastern Community College.
