NIACC women's track and field team ranked 19th

MASON CITY - The NIACC women's track and field team is ranked 19th in the USTFCCCA NJCAA Division I poll released Wednesday.

The NIACC women were ranked 20th in the Feb. 12 poll.

New Mexico Junior College is ranked No. 1, Iowa Central is ranked No. 2 and South Plains (Texas) is ranked third.

Iowa Western is ranked seventh, Hawkeye CC is ranked 18th and Southwestern is ranked 24th.

At the SDSU Indoor Classic last weekend, NIACC's Dasiah Tatum placed 12th in the weight throw witha personal-best toss of 14.24 meters.

Also for the NIACC women, Caitlyn Regan was 13th in the 600-meter run in a time of 1 minute, 42.04 seconds.

NIACC returns to action Friday and Saturday at the NJCAA Region XI meet in Storm Lake.
