NIACC women place third at regionals
COUNCIL BLUFFS - The NIACC women's track and field team placed third at the NJCAA Region XI meet on Saturday with 83 points.
Iowa Central was the regional champion with 292 points and Iowa Western was third with 83 points.
NIACC's Jaylynn Scrivner placed second in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:05.13 and was fifth in the 200 (25.80).
In the javelin, NIACC's Catilin Serle was second (29.20 meters) and Sophia Fischer was third (28.55 meters).
Also for the NIACC women, Dashawn Wyatt was fourth in the 100 (12.90) and Elizabeth Mennen was sixth (14.24).
In the 800, the Lady Trojans' Maddison Shupe was sixth (2:52.40).
In the 1,500, NIACC's Keisha Gonzague was sixth in 5:39.36.
In the hammer, Fischer was fifth (34.21).
The Lady Trojans were second in the 4x800 (11;07.84) running Gonzague, Shupe, Allison Steahr and Julia Dunlavey.
In the 4x400, the Lady Trojans were third (4:31.67) running Wyatt, Erin Schwarzkopf, Mennen and Scrivner.
