NIACC women place fifth at Loras Easter Mid-Week meet
DUBUQUE - The NIACC women's track and field team opened its outdoor season with a fifth-place finish at the Loras College Easter Mid-Week meet on Wednesday.
The Lady Trojans placed fifth with 40 points. Host Loras won the meet with 309 points and Clarke College was second with 120 points.
NIACC's Dashawn Wyatt placed third in the 200-meter dash in a time of 27.32 and was fourth in the 100 in a time of 13.04.
Also for the Lady Trojans, Jaylynn Scrivner was fourth in the 400 hurdles in 1:08.66. Anna Frisch was sixth in the 800 (3:08.95) and Elizabeth Mennen was seventh in the 400 (1:06.23).
The Lady Trojans' were second in the 4x100-meter relay in 51.81 running Wyatt, Erin Schwarzkopf, Mennen and Scrivner. The same foursome was fourth in the 4x400 in 4:27.91.
NIACC returns to action April 7 at the Cornell College Invitational in Mount Vernon.
