NIACC women's track and field team ranked 21st
MASON CITY - The NIACC women's track and field team is ranked 21st in the second set of NJCAA Division I rankings released by the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association on Wednesday.
The Lady Trojans were 18th in the initial set of rankings.
Iowa Central is ranked No. 2 in the women's rankings, Iowa Western is No. 4 and Indian Hills is No. 25.
For the NIACC women, freshman Cailey Weaver is ranked fifth in the 800 with a time of 2:19.54. Weaver is 18th in the 600 (1:40.53).
Freshman Patricia Sahr is 15th in the high jump (5 feet, 2 1/2 inches) and the Lady Trojans' distance medley relay team has the seventh fastest time so far this season (13:59.27).
The NIACC men's and women's track and field teams return to action Saturday at the Grinnell College Invitational.
