HESSTON, Kan. - The NIACC women's soccer team topped Hesston College 2-1 in overtime in a nonconference match Friday night.
The Lady Trojans (2-0) won with a penalty kick by Jessica Altman less than a minute into the overtime period. It was Altman's third goal of the season and sixth of her career.
NIACC took a 1-0 lead at the half on an unassisted goal by Rylie Smith, her first of the season.
NIACC returns to action Saturday at Hutchinson CC. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
