NIACC ranked 13th in latest NJCAA wrestling poll
MASON CITY - The NIACC wrestling team is ranked No. 13 in the Intermat NJCAA Division I rankings released Wednesday.
NIACC was ranked 11th in the preseason rankings in November and was 12th in the December ratings.
In the latest rankings, Clackamas is ranked No. 1.
Other Iowa schools ranks are Ellsworth at No. 3, Iowa Central and Iowa Lakes are tied at No. 8 and Iowa Western at No. 12.
In the individual by Intermat, NIACC sophomore Austin Anderly (2-0) is ranked No. 1 at 141 pounds and freshman Noah Jackson (8-4) is No. 5 at 157 pounds. Anderly, who placed fifth at last season's national meet, has missed most of the season with a broken hand, but is expected back in the lineup soon.
NIACC hosts No. 11 RCTC in a dual meet on Wednesday in Rochester, Minn. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
