NIACC wrestlers set to compete at Coe College Invite
CEDAR RAPIDS - The No. 11 NIACC wrestling team will compete in the Coe College Invitational on Saturday.
The tournament is slated to start at 9 a.m.
NIACC is coming off a 30-12 dual-meet loss to No. 1 Ellsworth on Wednesday. The Trojans picked up a fall from top-ranked Austin Anderly (2-0) at 141 pounds. The Trojans' Zach Wagenhoffer (1-1) won by decision at 174 pounds and Jaylen Lee (1-1) won by decision in overtime at 184 pounds.
Notes - Anderly moved his career record to 16-7 with 3 falls, 1 tech. fall and 4 major decisions ... Lee's career record is now 11-15 ... Sedrak Sheppard placed sixth at 197 pounds at the Coe College Invitational in 2016.
