NIACC's Jackson, Black place sixth at Luther

DECORAH — NIACC's Jamarius Jackson and Tucker Black each finished sixth at in the Elite Bracket at the Luther Open in their respective weight classes on Saturday.
Jackson was sixth in the Elite 133-pound bracket, opening the tournament with a technical fall before falling to Iowa's Cory Clark in the quarterfinal round. Jackson was able to fight his way through the consolation bracket with a pair of victories before dropping his final two matches by injury default and a medical forfeit.
Meanwhile, Black won four consolation matches after falling to Iowa's Jeremiah Moody following a pin in his opening match.
"There was a lot of things we got exposed on but they've got a lot of fight in them and we can work with that," NIACC coach Steve Kelly said.
NIACC's Jaylen Lee finished fifth in the Silver Bracket at 184, Austin Anderly was first at 149 wrestling unattached and Jimsher Sindhu was second at 285, also wrestling unattached.
