NIACC's Hall faces Iowa Central's Hensley in finals
COUNCIL BLUFFS - The rubber match is set for tonight.
NIACC sophomore Shiquan Hall faces Iowa Central's Zak Hensley in the 133-pound title match at the NJCAA national championships in the Mid-America Center.
Hall (14-4 with 2 falls, 1 technical fall, 4 major decisions) and Hensley split a pair of matches earlier this season. Hall is 1-1 this season against Hensley, who pinned Hall in 6:37 in the North Central district final. Hall topped Hensley 10-5 in a dual meet this season.
Hall, who was fourth a year ago at 133 pounds, is seeking to become NIACC's 12th individual national champion and fifth in the last three years. Nosomy Pozo and Yoanse Mejias both won back-to-back national titles in the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
Hall has a career record of 44-14 with eight falls, four technical falls and 12 major decisions.
