NIACC women wrap up fall season
DIKE - The NIACC women's golf team wrapped up its fall golf season Friday at the Hawkeye CC Redtail Shootout at the Fox Ridge Golf Course.
The Trojans placed fourth with a 383. Iowa Central won the women's team title with a 341 and Hawkeye CC was second with a 370.
Sophomore Karissa Hoon shot a 43-47 - 90 to lead the Trojans.
"It was good to see Karissa Hoon score well (Friday)," NIACC coach Chris Frenz said. "Her goal was to break into the 80s and she had it in her sights.
"She didn't let the windy conditions and cold weather get to her."
Also for the Trojans Friday, Paige Danger shot 48-47 - 95, Emma Weiner shot 51-48 - 99 and Cameran Moellers shot 54-45 - 99.
"Overall, I thought our fall season went well," Frenz said. "This is a great group that only wants to get better. I'm looking forward to the spring."
