FORT DODGE — Courtney Tusler's round of 86 helped lead NIACC to third place Monday at the Iowa Central Invitational. NIACC's 367 placed it third behind Iowa Central (238) and DMACC (329).
"The women played well today overall," NIACC coach Chris Frenz said. "It's one of our best team scores of the season. We just need to cut down some big numbers on a couple of holes per player and we will be right where we need to be for this weekend at the regional tournament."
After Tusler's 86, Kelli Wilson shot 93 while Brooke Maasch and Alyssa Purman each shot 94. Also, Katelyn Loegering shot a 102 and Rebecca Long shot a 102.
NIACC returns to action Friday and Saturday the NJCAA Region XI tournament in Ankeny.
Team standings - Iowa Central 328, DMACC 329, NIACC 367, Southwestern 379.
