NIACC women place 13th at Statesmen Fall Classic
OSKALOOSA - The NIACC women's golf team placed 13th at the William Penn Statesmen Fall Classic on Monday with a 2-round total of 791.
The Lady Trojans shot rounds of 395 and 396 in their final tournament of the fall season.
Freshman Courtney Tusler led the Lady Trojans with a 93-94 - 187. Freshman Brooke Maasch was next in line with a 89-99 - 188. Also for the Lady Trojans, Katelyn Loegering shot a 102-97 - 199 and sophomore Rebecca Long shot a 111-106 - 217.
"We had some players make some real good strides this weekend," NIACC coach Chris Frenz said. "Even though the overall scores aren't where we want them yet, all of them could take something positive away from the experience.
"Brooke Maasch played her best round of the fall season on Sunday shooting an 89 and Courtney Tusler was right there too, but stumbled on the closing two holes both days. I love their attitudes and they all gave it what they had. We'll start working in the offseason on the some things and get ready for the spring season when the snow melts."
