NIACC women stop Ellsworth, 75-50
IOWA FALLS - Jackie Pippett scored 26 points with 11 rebounds to lead the NIACC women's basketball team to a 75-50 victory over Ellsworth Wednesday night.
Pippett, a sophomore, also had a career-high five assists and three steals. The 26 points and 11 rebounds were season highs for Pippett.
The double/double was the second of Pippett's career. She also recorded a double/double with 17 points and 13 rebounds against Iowa Central on Jan. 5, 2022.
Also for the Trojans on Wednesday, Keiara Anderson recorded her first career double/double with 13 points and 11 rebounds and also collected four assists and four steals.
NIACC's Kameron Jones scored 15 points, six rebounds and four steals. Audrey Martinez-Stewart led the way with a career-best eight steals.
The Trojans' Shakyla Walker had six assists and four steals.
NIACC (8-3 overall, 2-0 in the ICCAC) returns to action Dec. 14 at home against Iowa Central. Game time in the NIACC gym is slated for 5:30 p.m.
