NIACC women rated second in latest poll

MASON CITY - The NIACC women's basketball team remained No. 2 in the NJCAA Division II poll released Monday.

It is the 32nd straight poll that the NIACC women (12-0 overall, 1-0 in ICCAC) have been ranked in dating back to the start of the 2017-18 season.

Kirkwood (13-0) remained No. 1 in this week's poll. Kansas City (Kan.) CC (14-1) is ranked third and Lincoln Land (11-1) is ranked fourth.

NIACC and Kirkwood meet in their ICCAC contests on Jan. 29 (at Cedar Rapids) and Feb. 22 (at Mason City).

NIACC returns to action on Dec. 28 in the opening round of the Illinois Central Holiday tournament in Peoria, Ill. The Lady Trojans face No. 13 Bryant & Stratton (Wis.) in their first-round tournament contest.
