NIACC women move up to 5th in latest poll

MASON CITY - The NIACC women's basketball team is ranked fifth in the NJCAA Division II poll released Tuesday.

NIACC (15-5, overall, 6-1 ICCAC) was ranked seventh in the Jan. 29 poll. The Lady Trojans were 2-0 last week with home wins over Iowa Lakes (99-70) and Southwestern (107-72).

NIACC, which has won five straight games, returns to action Wednesday at Iowa Central in an ICCAC contest. The Lady Trojans host No. 2 Kirkwood on Saturday.
