No. 15 NIACC women gain program's 800th all-time win
KEOKUK - The No. 15 NIACC women's basketball team stopped Southeastern CC 98-94 in an ICCAC contest Saturday afternoon.
The win for the Lady Trojans was the program's 800th all-time win. The school, which started women's basketball in the 1973-74 season, has an all-time record of 800-537.
NIACC, which is in its 45th season of women's basketball, has averaged more than 17 wins in each of its first 45 seasons of women's basketball.
NIACC (19-5 overall, 6-2 in the ICCAC) trailed 71-69 after three quarters 29-23 to complete the regular-season sweep of Southeastern.
Sophomore guard UU Longs led the Lady Trojans with 24 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.
Also for the Lady Trojans, freshman Mikayla Homola scored 29 points and had seven rebounds. Adria Stewart scored 15 points and Cici Kieger scored 10 points.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday night at home against No. 2 Kirkwood. The Lady Trojans have won 15 straight home games.
