CEDAR RAPIDS — NIACC saw a fourth-quarter rally fall short as top-ranked Kirkwood ran to a 93-81 win Wednesday night.
"We were down 10 and cut it to one then they beat us back a couple of times," NIACC coach Todd Ciochetto said. "We feel we should've won the game and hopefully we get another chance."
Kelsie Willert continued her consistent play for the Lady Trojans with a team-high 14 points while Taylor Laabs, UU Longs and Cierra Stanciel added 12 points apiece. Laabs, Longs and Willert sunk four 3-pointers each.
Morgan Cuffe added eight points for NIACC (16-12, 8-5), Courtney Larson had seven and Riley Galvin added six.
Simone Goods led the Eagles with 28 and Deleyah Harris tossed in 21.
NIACC closes out the regular season at home Saturday against Southwestern.
