Bio

Morgan Frost is currently in her second year as an assistant coach with the NIACC softball program in the 2023-24 season.

Prior to joining the staff at NIACC, Frost was an assistant coach at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Mo. for the past three years.

“Coach Frost has proven that the junior college route works and her resume speaks for itself," NIACC softball coach Matt Egger said. "With her experiences through her own recruiting process and continuously competing at an extremely high level everywhere she has played, she is going to an absolute asset to our student athletes and our program.

"She was successful on the field and in the classroom during her college career, I am very excited with what Coach Frost will bring to NIACC softball.”

While at MWSU, Frost mostly worked with hitters and outfielders. In the three seasons she on staff, the Griffons had a combined record of 70-50.

A native of Gilbertville, Iowa, Frost graduated from Don Bosco High School. She was a five-year starter in softball at Don Bosco. In those five years, she was a 3-time first-team all-state selection and one-time second-team selection. She was also a five-time first-team all-conference selection.

After high school, Frost was a two-time first-team all-region selection and two-time all-American at Kirkwood. In 2016, Frost earned second-team NFCA all-American honors. In 2017, Frost was a first-team NFCA all-American.

She hit .497 in her two years at Kirkwood with 18 home runs, 136 RBIs, 157 runs and 41 doubles. Frost helped the Eagles go 113-12 during her two seasons.

She was selected to the Juco All-Star Team in the summer of 2017 that got to represent the USA in the Canada Cup playing against Olympic teams such as Japan and Mexico. She was the only member of the team to start every game.

After two years at Kirkwood, Frost transferred to MWSU.

Frost was named All-MIAA First Team and All-Central Region First Team as a senior in 2019.

She helped the Griffons finish second in the MIAA in both the regular season and conference tournament. They also earned the 6th seed in the Central Regional tournament that year.

She amassed 127 hits, 72 RBIs, and a .361 batting average in her two years as a Griffon. She left the program in the top ten of several statistical categories.
