BOONE - The NIACC softball team dropped an ICCAC twinbill to No. 9 DMACC on Monday.
DMACC (16-9 overall, 6-2 in the ICCAC) won the first game 11-3 in five innings and took the second game 27-4 in five innings.
In the first game, sophomore Anna Lensing drove in all three NIACC runs with a pair of home runs. Lensing, who has three home runs this season, hit a two-run home run in the first inning and added a solo home run in the third inning.
It was the seventh time in the Dan Grazt era that a NIACC player it two home runs in a game. The last Lady Trojan hit to two home runs in a game was Tayler Schmidt against Independence CC in the first game of a doubleheader on March 12, 2020.
Hailey Worman was 2 for 3 for the Lady Trojans in Monday's first game.
In the second game, DMACC scored 22 runs in the first inning.
The Bears collected six home runs, two triples and two doubles in their four at-bats.
NIACC's Laken Lienhard was 3 for 3 and scored a run. Worman hit a two-run homer in the first inning.
Kayla Sproul drove in two runs with a single in the first inning.
NIACC (5-7, 3-7) returns to action Wednesday at home against No. 7 Kirkwood (20-5, 9-1). The first game on the NIACC campus is slated to start at 2 p.m.
