PITTSBURG, Kan. - The NIACC softball team split a doubleheader with Labette CC on Wednesday.
Labette won the first game 5-4 and the Lady Trojans managed a split in the twinbill with a 7-5 win in the second game.
In the second game, McKenna Mentink picked up the win. Mentink (1-2) pitched seven innings allowing five runs (three earned) on eight hits with no strikeouts and three walks.
Offensively for NIACC in the game-two win, Hannah Faktor, Mentink and Macy Alexander all collected two RBIs. Faktor and Ciana Sonberg both had two hits.
NIACC returns to action Thursday in a doubleheader at Independence CC. The first game is slated to start at 1 p.m.
