NIACC softball team drops pair to Iowa Central

MASON CITY - The NIACC softball team dropped an ICCAC doubleheader to Iowa Central Monday at the NIACC softball field.

Iowa Central won the first game 1-0 in nine innings and the Tritons took the second game 17-3 in five innings.

In the first game, NIACC's Lexy Pederson was the tough-luck loser. The right-hander from Mason City took a no-hitter into the ninth inning before allowing two hits and one run to take the loss.

Pederson struck out seven, walked three and hit one in her nine innings of work.
