No. 9 NIACC men place second at Loras Invitational
DUBUQUE - The NIACC men's cross country team placed second at the Loras College Invitational with 57 points on Friday.
Loras College won the meet with 22 points and Simpson College was third with 59 points.
NIACC sophomore Wal Khat placed second in a time of 26 minutes, 13 seconds on the 8-kilomter course at the Dubuque Soccer Complex.
NIACC, which is ranked No. 9 in the NJCAA Division I poll, also received counting scores from Zach Freund (11th in 27:20), Jose Aguilera (13th in 27:33), Colby Kraninger (14th in 27:35) and Blake Keller (20th in 27:54).
Also for the Trojans, John Kraft was 36th in 28:51, David Carter was 37th in 28:52, Nick Frenz was 42nd in 29:06, Canyon Kuhlmann was 52nd in 29:28, Abdiaziz Wako was 68th in 30:25, Samuel Dean was 70th in 30:28 and Aaron Hardcastle was 87th in 32:19.
NIACC returns to action Oct. 29 in the NJCAA Region XI meet on the NIACC campus in Mason City.
