NIACC's Younker places 30th in 200

BROOKINGS, S.D. - The NIACC women's track and field team qualified for the NJCAA Division I national track and field meet in two events on Friday at the SDSU Indoor Classic.

The NIACC distance medley relay team of Cecelia Hemsworth, Ally Trager, Dashawn Wyatt and Emma Davison placed seventh in the distance medley relay in a time of 13 minutes, 15.52 seconds to earn a berth to the national meet. The standard qualifying time for the national meet is 13:29.17.

Also, Davison placed 19th in the 1,000-meter run in a time of 3:11.86 to qualify for nationals. The national qualifying standard is 3:13.14.

For the NIACC men, Kyle Younker was 30th in the 200 in a season-best time of 22.63. Seon Clarke was 35th in the 600 in season-best time of 1:28.36.
