Gannon Harsma begins his second season as the head men's soccer coach and director of soccer operations at NIACC in the 2024 season with a record of 3-8-3.
In the 2023 season, two NIACC men's soccer players earned all-region honors. Hugo Garcia-Rosado Duran was a second-team all-region selection and Giorgio Dalzini was an honorable mention pick.
Harsma served as the NIACC head women's soccer coach in 2021-22 and accumulated a record of 10-19-3.
The NIACC women's team was 7-8-2 in the 2022 season, which tied the school record for wins in a season. In the 2021 spring season, the NIACC women were 7-8 with Harsma as the goalkeeper coach.
In the 2021 spring season, Harsma was NIACC men's and women's goalkeeper coach.
Harsma has been the head boys and girls soccer coach at Belmond-Klemme High School since it started the programs in 2020.
Harsma was the goalkeepers coach for B-Elite Academy, where he trained up to 150 goalkeepers from ages 7 to 19, from 2018-21.
He also spent time as the head coach/goalkeeper coach for the Colorado Eagles, a 13-under soccer team, in 2017-18.
He was the assistant coach/goalkeeper coach for Sioux City West High School in 2018-19.
Harsma graduated from Sioux City East High School in 2013.
Harsma played for the Des Moines Menace Academy when he was 15 and won a state championship.
Harsma played on three NAIA national championship teams for Grand View University.
