MASON CITY - The NIACC men's soccer team dropped a 3-2 decision to Western Iowa Tech in the ICCAC opener for both teams Saturday on the NIACC campus.

NIACC took a 2-0 first-half lead with a pair of goals from Elia Salvatore Antonini with assists from Nico Cimini and Jose Sebastian Galanton.

Western Iowa Tech (4-3-2 overall, 1-0 in the ICCAC), however, outscored the Trojans 3-0 in the second half to claim the one-goal league win.

The Comets' game-winning goal came off a corner kick with eight minutes left in the contest.

NIACC (7-2, 0-1) returns to action Saturday, Sept. 28 at Northwest Iowa CC in Sheldon. Match time is slated for 1 p.m.
