MASON CITY - The NIACC men's soccer team improved to 3-0 on Saturday with a 3-0 non-league victory over Central CC-Columbus on the NIACC campus.
NIACC, which improved to 3-0 for the first time since 2019, took a 3-0 lead at the half.
The Trojans received first-half goals from Stanley Fovargue, Pablo Salas and Ethan Sutherland.
Fovargue's goal came off a rebound shot off a free kick. Harry Twinn received the assist on the Fovargue's goal.
Victor Hugo Januario was credited with the assist on the Salas' goal and Sutherland's goal was unassisted.
Edoardo Alessandrini gained the win in goal for the Trojans to improve to 3-0 and picking up his second shutout out the season. The sophomore keeper also owns a shutout earlier this season against Iowa Central.
NIACC returns to action at home Thursday against Lake Superior College. The match is slated to start at 3 p.m.
