DULUTH, Minn. - The NIACC men's soccer team opened the 2023 season with a 4-2 win Friday over Lake Superior College.
The Trojans, under first-year coach Gannon Harsma, opened up a 2-1 lead at the half and also outscored Lake Superior 2-1 in the second 45 minutes.
Hugo Garcia-Rosado Duran recorded his first career hat trick. Abdul Rahman Jalloh also scored a goal for the Trojans.
Garcia-Rosado Duran now has 13 career goals and five career assists.
The Trojans received three assists from Elijah Kwizera.
Edoardo Allesadrini picked up the win in goal for the Trojans.
