NIACC soccer team falls to No. 7 Marshalltown in double OT, 3-2

MARSHALLTOWN - The NIACC men's soccer team dropped a 3-2 double overtime decision to No. 7 Marshalltown CC on Saturday in an ICCAC contest.

NIACC received goals from Dion Dozzell and Michael Donovan.

Marshalltown jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half. Dozzell scored the Trojans' first goal of the season to trim the halftime deficit to 2-1. Dozell's goal was the eighth of his career.

Donovan tied the contest at 2-2 when he scored his first career goal in the 72nd minute.

Marshalltown won the contest when Kino Ryosuke scored in the second overtime.

NIACC returns to action Wednesday at Scott Community College (0-2, 0-2). Northeast CC stopped Scott CC 3-2 on Saturday.
