NIACC places 7th at Wartburg Invite

WAVERLY - The NIACC men's golf team placed seventh at the Wartburg College Invitational on Saturday.

The Trojans, who shot a 312 on Friday, fired a 321 for a two-day team total of 633 in the 14-team tournament at the Prairie Links Golf Course.

DMACC won the team title with a 286-298 - 584. Kirkwood was second with a 288-297 - 585 and Southwestern was third with a 295-291 - 586.

The Trojans were led by Ben Boerjan with rounds of 70-81 - 151. Also for the Trojans, Zach Martin shot a 81-78 - 159, Austin Eckenrod shot a 80-81 - 161, Matthew Heinemann shot a 81-81 - 162 and Jackson Hamlin shot a 86-83 - 169..
