NIACC men place fourth at NIACC Invite
MASON CITY - The NIACC men's golf team placed fourth with a 322 at the NIACC Invitational on Monday at the Mason City Country Club.
Sophomore Joe Nordquist led the Trojans with a 38-39 - 77. Iowa Lakes' Jordan Henry was the meet medalist with a 34-36 - 70.
Iowa Lakes was the team champion with a 297. DMACC was second with a 302 and Southwestern was third with a 320 and the NIACC B team was fifth with a 323.
Also for NIACC, Zach Nicholson shot a 40-40 - 80, Josh Schaefer shot a 42-39 - 81; Devin Koob shot a 37-47 - 84 and Anthony Emanuel shot a 42-43 - 85.
For the NIACC B team, Nathan Winter shot a career-best 36-43 - 79; Kenton Waters shot a 43-37 - 80, which tied his career best round; Mitchell Scholl shot a 41-40 - 81; and Zach Bond shot a 42-41 - 83.
NIACC returns to action April 25 at the Iowa Central Invitational at the Fort Dodge Country Club.
