NIACC men fall to Southwestern, 84-76

MASON CITY - The NIACC men's basketball team dropped an 84-76 decision to Southwestern CC in an ICCAC contest in the NIACC gym.
Southwestern led 32-30 at the half and outscored the Trojans 52-46 in the second 20 minutes.
NIACC's Wyatt Helming scored 12 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, his 10th double/double of the season. Jordan Brown also recorded his first career double/double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Also in double figures for the Trojans were Omarion Roberts with 13 points, Marquel Newsome with 12 points and Ra'Mir Scott with 12 points.
NIACC returns to action Monday in a makeup contest at Iowa Lakes. Game time in Estherville is slated for 7:30 p.m.
