NIACC men move to No. 12 in latest poll

MASON CITY - The NIACC men's basketball team is No. 12 in the NJCAA Division II poll released Tuesday.

NIACC (17-3 overall, 7-1 ICCAC) was No. 14 in the Jan. 29 poll and gained a pair of ICCAC home wins last week (119-110 over Iowa Lakes and 96-83 over Southwestern).

The No. 12 ranking is the highest for the Trojans since they were No. 3 in the Dec. 4, 2012 poll.

Kirkwood is ranked No. 1 and Potomac State is No. 2.

NIACC returns to action Wednesday at Iowa Central. The Trojans host No. 1 Kirkwood on Saturday.
