NIACC places second in Pom at state dance

DES MOINES - The NIACC Dance Team earned two division I ratings in Pom and Hip Hop in the community college division at the 2019 State Dance Competition on Friday.

NIACC placed second in the Pom competition and was third in the Hip Hop competition.

Iowa Central was the Pom champion, Iowa Lakes was third and Kirkwood was fourth.

In the Hip Hop competition, Kirkwood placed first and Iowa Central was second.

In the Jazz competition, Iowa Central was the champion and was the only school to earn a Division I rating.

Last season, NIACC placed second in Hip Hop, third in Pom and third in Jazz in the community college division.
