GREAT BEND, Kan. - The NIACC baseball team dropped an 8-4 decision to Barton CC in a nine-inning contest on Monday.
NIACC (6-6 overall) scored single runs in the first and sixth innings and pushed across two runs in the eighth inning.
NIACC was led at the plate Monday by freshman Brian Williams, who was 3 for 3, including a double, and three RBIs.
Freshman right-hander John Solfest took the loss on the mound for the Trojans. Solfest, who pitched five innings, matched his season-high with six strikeouts and allowed four runs, all earned.
NIACC returns to action Tuesday in a single-game against NOC-Enid. Game time is slated for 2 p.m.
