ENID, Okla. - The No. 12 NIACC baseball team topped No. 16 NOC-Enid 14-8 Monday to win the three-game series, 2-1.
Sophomore Brandon Michie led the NIACC offense by going 2 for 5, including a triple and home run, with five RBIs. Sophomore Matt Schwarz was 3 for 6 with three RBIs.
Also for the Trojans, Ezequias Encarnacion was 4 for 6 with two runs scored. Bryce Ball, Fox Leum and Ben Komonsky all had two hits apiece for the Trojans.
Sophomore righ-hander Tyler Jacobsen gained the win in relief on the mound for NIACC. Jacobsen, who relieved starter Tyler Lien, allowed one run on two hits in 1 1/3 innings pitched.
NIACC (8-5) returns to action Tuesday in a single game against Barton Community College in Great Bend, Kan. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
