No. 12 NIACC baseball team splits pair with No. 16 NOC-Enid
ENID, Okla. - The No. 12 NIACC baseball team split a doubleheader with No. 16 NOC-Enid Sunday.
The Trojans (7-5) won the first game 10-2 and dropped the second game 5-4.
In the first game, sophomore Brandon Michie led the NIACC offense by going 3 for 3, including a double and home run, with two runs scored and two RBIs.
Also for the Trojans, Matt Schwarz, Ezequias Encarnacion and Cam Shannon all provided two RBIs.
Michael Oh gained the win on the mound for NIACC. Oh allowed one hit and no runs with four strikeouts and one walk in five innings of work.
In the second game, the Trojans received a home run from Joey Werner.
NIACC returns to action Monday in a rubber match of the three-game series against NOC-Enid. the nine-inning contest starts at 1 p.m.
Notes: Michie has 79 career hits, including 34 for extra bases ... Michie has 25 career doubles, 8 career home runs and 1 career triple ... Michie's 25 career doubles are tied for 16th on school's career doubles list with Anthony Alberts (2004-05), Jordan Huffman (2010-11) and Spencer Halloran (2015-16) ... NIACC coach Travis Hergert is 6-4 all-time vs. NOC-Enid.
