NIACC was 3-6 under first-year coach Steve LaLonde.
The Trojans picked up wins over the William Penn JV (55-0), Rock Valley (24-12) and NDSCS (16-13).
Earning all-region honors for the Trojans were Brian Saunders (linebacker), Antwan Pratt (linebacker), LaQuentin Black (defensive back) and Jordan Williams (punter).

The NIACC football team returned to the Graphic Edge Bowl for the second straight season. The Trojans dropped a 28-21 decision to Joliet Junior College, finished the 2007 campaign with a record of 7-4 and a No. 14 national ranking.
NIACC's Luke Dolan was selected as the Graphic Edge Bowl defensive MVP.
NIACC quarterback Lorenzo Brown was selected as MFC West co-offensive player of the year and also earned NJCAA honorable mention all-American honors. Ryan McMahon was selected as the MFC West kicker of the year and Jacob Grobe was selected as the MFC West punter of the year.
Other NIACC players earning first-team all-region honors were Marques Parker (receiver), Brad Theilen (receiver), Reggie St. Pierre (defensive line) and Michael Daniels (defensive line).
NIACC offensive players earning honorable mention all-region honors were Wes Yarbough, Kevis Streeter, Travis Lietchi, Joe Audlehelm, Jameel Williams, Ryan Luedtke and Cale Johnston. NIACC bounced back from its sub-par 2005 season with a 7-4 season in Strohmeier's second season as coach of the Trojans.
The Trojans stopped Iowa Central 20-19 in the MFC West Regional playoff game before dropping a 24-6 decision to Grand Rapids CC in the Graphic Edge Bowl.
The Trojans were No. 20 in the final NJCAA national rankings.
Defensive back Anton Cullom was selected as an NJCAA first-team all-American and was the MFC West defensive player of the year.
Quarterback Ben Alford was an NJCAA honorable mention all-American selection and was the MFC West offensive player of the year.
NIACC's Jake Short was the MFC West co-kicker of the year, Preston Pearson was the MFC West punter of the year and Nick Daly was the MFC West co-offensive lineman of the year.
Others earning first-team all-region honors for the Trojans were Tommy Bryant (running back), De'Veon Harris (linebacker) and Jeremy Robertson (defensive end).

In Scott Strohmeier's first year as coach of the NIACC football team, the Trojans compiled a record of 2-6.
The Trojans topped the College of DuPage 28-2 and stopped Ellsworth 21-10 in its season finale. The Trojans also dropped a 30-22 six-overtime decision to Joliet Junior College.
Earning first-team all-region honors for the Trojans were Kevin Hart (running back), Kyle Dunn (offensive line), Juan Martin (defensive back), Eric Young (defensive end) and Mike Liggins (linebacker). Under first-year coach Dave Gillespie, the Trojans compiled a record of 6-3 that included a five-game winning streak in the middle of the season.
After starting the season with a narrow 14-12 loss to Grand Rapids, the Trojans topped NDSCS, Iowa Central, Ellsworth, Upper Iowa JV and Rock Valley in consecutive weeks.
NIACC sophomore linebacker Clint Sellers, who compiled 129 tackles, earned NJCAA second-team all-American honors. Sellers signed a national letter of intent to play at Eastern Illinois University.
Also, sophomore offensive lineman Marshal Yanda was an NJCAA honorable mention all-American selection. Yanda signed a national letter of intent with the University of Iowa and was drafted in the third round (86th overall pick) by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2007 NFL Draft.
Kevin Hart led the Trojans in rushing with 782 yards and five touchdowns. Brady Foster threw for 906 yards and five touchdowns.

For the third straight season, a member of the NIACC football team was selected as the league's offensive MVP.
Running back Robert Anderson earned offensive MVP honors after rushing for 1,247 yards and 11 touchdowns on 161 carries. Anderson also earned NJCAA first-team all-American honors for his efforts.
NIACC (7-3 overall, 5-3 in the ICCAC) landed six players on the all-region first-team in 2002. Anderson, fullback Donnie Harris, offensive lineman Gabe Vargas, defensive lineman Jirey Siner and linebacker Craig Edwards were selected to the first-team.
Earning honorable mention all-region honors for the Trojans were BJ Flowers, Groshawn Edwards, Adam Peterson, Jordan Rasberry, Andre Gould, Jermyah Graves, Josh Pesek and Nate Geerts.

NIACC compiled a record of 9-2, won its second straight ICCAC title and were ranked 10thin the final NJCAA national poll.
The Trojans (7-1 in the ICCAC) won their first six games, including a 23-9 win over Iowa Central and a 61-3 win over Waldorf College.
NIACC quarterback Ben Dougherty was selected as the league's offensive MVP. Dougherty completed 124 of 199 passes for 1,604 yards with 12 touchdown passes.

The decade started out with the NIACC football team compiling a record of 9-2, an ICCAC championship and a No. 8 ranking in the final NJCAA national poll.
The Trojans (8-0 in the ICCAC) dropped their first game of the 2000 season – a 31-14 loss to the College of DuPage. The Trojans then went on a 9-game winning streak before dropping the Pepsi Cola/Sigler Printing Bowl to No. 2 RCTC, 23-20.
NIACC wide receiver Trivice Sadler was selected as the NJCAA Region XI offensive most valuable player. Sadler, who was a NJCAA first-team all-American, caught 48 passes for 747 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Other first-team all-region selections for the Trojans in the 2000 season were Damien Cunningham (quarterback), Joe Johnson (offensive line), Jared George (defensive line), Mark Tetzel (linebacker), Mark Stambaugh (linebacker) and James Hanson (defensive back).
Honorable mention all-region selections for the Trojans were Roger Howard, Jared Ringus, Dan Miller, Chris Myers, Brad Boldt, Kevin Valentine, Chris Summers, Chris Newby, Mike Tetzel, Jon Peterson, Brian Budach and Clint Hinderaker.
