2024 NIACC hall of famer Anna (Buenneke) Lucs
Anna (Buenneke) Lucs was a standout in NIACC women’s cross country and track and field, earning the impressive distinction of 7-time All-American—twice in cross country and five times in track and field.
Her memorable performance at the 2011 indoor meet included winning national titles in the 3,000 and 5,000 meters and securing second place in the mile.
In the 10,000 meters, she claimed second place, and her contribution to the 4x800 relay team led them to a third-place finish.
In cross country, Lucs achieved eighth place at the 2010 national meet and became the national runner-up in 2011. She also secured consecutive NJCAA Region 11 cross country championships in 2010 and 2011.
Lucs’ remarkable achievements and relentless dedication have rightfully earned her a lasting place in the Hall of Fame, showcasing her as a formidable presence in collegiate athletics.
